A typical worship service at Melrose United Methodist church may include a greeting and opening prayer, scripture readings, silent prayer and meditation, an offering, the Lord's Prayer, a children's message, the sermon, special music and hymns, time for people to greet each other, and a closing prayer.
Our early morning service at 9:00 meets in Melrose Memorial Hall for a visually enriched worship experience. Our 11:00 service meets in the sanctuary and features time-honored hymns. We may have special music from our adult choir, praise team or individuals. This year, our Melrose Bell Choir and Ensemble join us in worship on the fifth Sundays. We seek to have Christ centered services focused on prayer and Bible based messages.
Communion is served weekly at our early morning service.and twice a month on the first and third Sundays at our 11:00 service. All are invited to celebrate communion, but you can choose whether or not you wish to participate.
We will print words and responses in the bulletins, or project them on the screens at the front, to help those who are unfamiliar with United Methodist worship.

One contemporary song is being included in the 11:00 am service on two Sundays each month for those who enjoy both contemporary and traditional styles of music.
